Dr. Naveed Sherwani, Co-Founder, President & CEO
Dr. Sherwani brings over 23 years of experience in technical engineering and general management to his position as President and CEO of Open-Silicon. Prior to co-founding Open-Silicon, Dr. Sherwani was the founder and General Manager of Intel Microelectronics Services where he led efforts to promote the use of disciplined ASIC methodologies to improve design efficiency and time-to-market.
Naveed co-architected the Intel microprocessor design methodology and environment that has been used in various leading microprocessors. Prior to joining Intel, he worked as a consultant for various telecommunications and computer companies, mainly focusing on ASIC design flow and cell library design to improve time-to-market. He also served as a Professor at Western Michigan University, where his research concentrated on VLSI Physical Design Automation, combinatorics, and graph algorithms.
Dr. Sherwani is the author of the main textbook on Physical Design, which is widely used at major universities around the world. In addition, he has authored or co-authored 3 books and over 100 articles on various aspects of Physical Design Automation and ASICs.
In last 15 years, he has been a frequent speaker at DAC, ICCAD, International Conference on VLSI and other major conferences around the world.
Dr. Sherwani received his Ph.D from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Shrikrishna Gokhale, COO and Managing Director, India
Mr. Shrikrishna Gokhale (Shri) brings more than 28 years of experience in business management and technology development largely focused on communications, industrial and consumer electronics markets. Before joining Open-Silicon, Shri was Senior Vice President at Sasken Communication Technologies and held various management positions spanning semiconductor business unit management, delivery center management and global engineering resource management. He successfully led multi-site teams of 600+ professionals spread across offshore, onsite and near-shore locations. Preceding this role, he worked with Philips (India) as head of the R&D department of the Industrial Electronics division.
Shri holds a Masters’ degree in Communications Technology and Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay, India.

Scott Houghton, Co-Founder, VP Marketing and Business Development
Mr. Houghton brings over 24 years of experience in general management, operations, sales and marketing to his position as VP of Operations at Open-Silicon. Prior to co-founding Open-Silicon, Scott held the position of Sr. Vice President and General Manager of Synopsys Professional Services.
During his tenure at Synopsys, Scott was instrumental in establishing their highly successful Methodology and Design Services consulting business in 17 locations around the world. This business unit has been instrumental in driving new design methodologies as well as new product development with key system and semiconductor companies. He was also a key member of the management executive staff that enabled the purchase and integration of Avanti in 2002. Scott has extensive international experience, living and managing large operations in both Tokyo and London. Mr. Houghton is a graduate of Western Washington University.

Taher Madraswala, Vice President of Engineering
Taher Madraswala has a total of more than 22 years of semiconductor engineering experience and most recently spent twelve years designing microprocessors for Intel Corp. A hands-on designer, Taher has contributed to logic, circuit, layout and post-silicon debug of 486, Pentium, Pentium-MMX, Pentium-3 and Itanium processors. In addition, as an engineering manager at Intel he oversaw ASIC development in the DSL Modem and Optical Network Group. Over his career Taher has demonstrated his commitment to quality engineering across more than 150 tapeouts.
Taher joined Open-Silicon at its inception and contributed his technical experience to building its business model and in particular Open-Silicon's unique model for ASIC Program Management. Taher has a Master’s in Computer Engineering from University of Louisiana, Lafayette and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Aligarh University.

Dr. Shafy Eltoukhy, Vice President of Manufacturing Operations
Dr. Shafy Eltoukhy has more than 26 years experience in ASIC, FPGA and memory technologies.
Prior to joining Open-Silicon, Shafy was the Vice President of Technology at Lightspeed Semiconductor where he joined the founding team with a goal to simplify the ASIC design cycle. Previous to Lightspeed, he was the Director of Technology Development at Actel Corporation, where he led a technology group that developed five generations of FPGA products. Dr. Eltoukhy has held senior engineering positions at Intel Corporation and Fairchild Research Center and academic positions at Cairo University and the University of Waterloo, Canada.
Dr. Eltoukhy holds 20 US patents and an additional three patents are pending covering technology and circuits used in FPGA and ASIC products. Additionally, he has authored over 20 technical articles.
Dr. Eltoukhy holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and MSEE and BSEE degrees from Cairo University.

Dave Krishna, Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Dave Krishna brings over 23 years of semiconductor sales experience to his position as vice president of sales for Open-Silicon. Prior to joining Open-Silicon, Dave was a Senior Director of Sales at LSI Logic where he managed a sales team of over 40 direct sales engineers as well as manufacturers representatives. During his tenure Dave's territory drove annual design wins valued at over $1 Billion and annual revenue of over $250M. Dave has also been the Director of Sales and Marketing for SEEQ Technology and a Regional Sales Manager for Advanced Micro Devices
Mr. Krishna holds a BSEE from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
