Overview
Open-Silicon Research Pvt. Ltd is the engineering, design, and methodology development headquarters for Open-Silicon Inc. Other product related activities such as Program Management, IP Integration, Test Engineering, Technical Sales and Marketing, and Manufacturing Support are also located in our Bangalore office.
Open-Silicon is a fabless ASIC provider that manages customers' ASICs from design-handoff to volume production, optimizing the chip supply chain through a wide portfolio of fabrication process technologies, pre-qualified IP, package assembly and test solutions, and world-class design, program management and manufacturing operations teams.
Bangalore was carefully chosen as the location for our design center; India was not an afterthought for Open-Silicon. The very essence of our message of revolutionizing the ASIC industry is centered in our creation of a company that uses and develops the talent and experience in India to deliver our industry-defining solutions.
Open-Silicon has design engineering, ASIC methodology, technical training, and IP support located in our Bangalore offices. Additionally, ASIC program management, packaging and DFT/test engineering have a local presence that augment our design execution and complete our ability to provide reliable first-pass silicon success with predictable schedules. Technical sales and marketing teams support global customers from India, cementing Open-Silicon's belief in creating modular business entities that can scale effectively.

Design Engineering
Open-Silicon Research Pvt Ltd. has a large Design Implementation team that can work on several projects in parallel. From our Bangalore facility, we manage all aspects of design starting from synthesis, DFT, floor planning, physical design, timing closure, reliability analysis and tape-out.
ASIC Methodology and R & D
The Methodology team is critical in our efforts to create a world-class disciplined flow that provides controllability, scalability, and efficiency. The result is industry leading first-time silicon success with predictable schedules.
IP Quality and Support
This is a growing team that has deep circuit and layout experience supporting IP integration in the design implementation for mixed signal IP, high speed IOs, SerDes, embedded processors etc.
Technical Sales and Marketing
Global sales and technical marketing support is hallmark of Open-Silicon's pre-sales responsiveness and creativity in offering the appropriate OpenSOLUTION to our customers.
ASIC Program Management
The key to every successful ASIC project, from design to volume production, is an individual ASIC Program Manager that watches over the health of the project and facilitates the removal of any barrier to the success of the project.
Test and Packaging Engineering
This team is pioneering the advent of post-silicon release-to-production activities in India, and closes the gap between manufacturing and design, leading to predictable ASIC programs and reliable first-silicon. It provides packaging and test expertise to design.
Technical Training for Scalability and Performance
Open-Silicon's design teams are divided into centers of excellence in core areas of physical design and manufacturing. Training and certification is provided to each member of the execution team, with a focus on diligent ASIC execution and individual growth.
